Application: Metering, Environmental Sensing, Security (Cameras and Motion Detection Sensors).
Description
LPWAN is a category of wireless networks designed to cover a wide area of lower costs, and low power consumption devices typically for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. In 3GPP, LPWANs is represented by LTE-M (CAT-M1) and NB-IoT (NB-1). THere are other types of radio accesses such as LoRaWAN and Sigfox. The focus is s on NB-IoT here.
Devices
- Cameras
- Motion detection sensors
- Digital water, gas, or electric meters
